HALO12 HALL-EFFECT THRUSTER
ExoTerra’s Halo12 represents the world’s highest-performing low-power Hall-effect thruster ever produced. Originally developed at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and subsequently commercialized by ExoTerra, the magnetically-shielded Halo12 enables SmallSat-class spacecraft to perform complex long-duration near-earth missions as well as challenging interplanetary missions. Halo12 operates from 200 – 1500 W and has a mass & envelope of only 3.4 kg & 120 mm OD x 150 mm L, respectively, making the thruster an incredibly compact and power-dense device adaptable to a wide range of spacecraft architectures. The thruster is compatible with both Xenon and Krypton as the propellant.
